The fabric in its current form is limited to comfort wear. The latest in the news and spreading its eco friendly tenets is the bamboo fabric. This outfit by Anita Dongre is just what you need for a day out!It is extremely popular for its special features of moisture absorption and its anti-bacterial properties. The real brightness of each colour can be achieved in bamboo fabric.—The writer helms a fashion brand with international elements, and walks the talk when it comes to runway rousing!
The challenge for bamboo fabric to come to mainstream are two folds — firstly lack of knowledge and awareness, secondly because of the fabric’s ultra softness it has always being positioned in the comfort category. In India designers like Anita Dogre and Madhu Jain have already started experimenting with this fabric and their designer collections have made an impact . Currently though, there are not many manufacturers and not many production houses in the game as yet and we believe, it has huge scope e-ptfe vent air permeable membrane to evolve and grow. The fabrics of the beautifully complementary coloured غير مجاز مي باشدtumes were sourced from North India as “Kanjeevaram drapes differently” (Chitra ji); the turban worn by the Rana was in the Rajasthani style, and a host of other details that imprinted so subtly in one’s unconscious mind. The music is superb; lyrical Ragas like Jaijaiwanti, Kedara, Gorakh Kalyan are used in evocative snatches. Speaking to Bombay Jayashri about composing the music for Meera, she said “composing the music for Meera was a unique experience. Matching her aurally, Bombay Jayashri used only appropriate North Indian Ragas, “ektaal” bols (Ek taal is a North Indian music taal) during a dance sequence, the sound of the shehnai to remind one of a wedding, and much more.
The unmatched grace and dignity of Chitra Visweswaran; literally the embodiment of “bhakti” is the best portion of the production. In an ecstasy of “anand” (bliss), she swirls around, as she awaits the ultimate union with her bridegroom, the merging with the Lord, to the haunting song of “mera olagiya” (my bridegroom is coming) in Raga Des, sung inimitably by Bombay Jayashri.Meera, the 14th century mystic Krishna “bhakt” conjures up an image of the desert of North India. The music is composed by Carnatic “Nightin-gale of the South” Vidushi Bombay Jayashri; the songs sung by herself and her Carnatic music trained disciples. It is an eye opener to see her name and work in a South Indian context. When Jayashri changes the Raga of even a familiar much loved and universally heard bhajan like “mharo pranam” (which has been rendered immortally by the late Gaansaraswati Kishori Amonkar in Raga Aiman Kalyan) to Mishra Pahari, there is no feeling of being let down.Meera, the 14th century mystic Krishna “bhakt” conjures up an image of the desert of North India. Meera Bai’s overwhelming love for her Lord comes through inescapably throughout the play, making it truly a spiritual experience.
Speaking about the music, Jayashri recalled “I remember “Jhoolat Radha sang Gir-idhar” was in Raga Vrind-avani Sarang; Vrindavani Sarang in my mind brings me the very essence of Vrindavan; the fragrance of that earth, the mood of togetherness, the “shringaar”. The limited narrative is in English (indeed, in an Indian context one does not really need this, as the visuals are so telling). The synergy between the aural and visual experience is another highlight of this production; the mutual respect between the dance legend and Vidushi Bombay Jayashri and their closeness creatively is visible water permeability of fabric in every scene. The adult Meera Bai is the extremely dexterous SNA Yuva awardee Uma Sathya Narayanan, whose graceful dancing to the familiar “pag ghunghroo baandh Meera nachi” is haunting.” After the performance, Chitra Visweswaran said that without Jayashri’s music the production would have been very different and incomplete, and that she wished Jayashri had been present, in Shimla, for this first performance of Meera- The Soul Divine, in North India. Speaking of the Carnatic element in the production, Jayashri said essentially it was only through the dance, (bhaاين نام مجاز نمي باشدnatyam); the North Indian music was interspersed with the “jatis” (the nritya bol, the language of the mridangam)

The health benefits of cycling and walking outweigh the harmful effects of China Wholesale EPTFE waterproof and breathable membrane Suppliers air pollution, a study suggestsAir pollution contributes to 40,000 early deaths each year in the UK and we gulp in more of it when we exercise. On the other hand, regular exercise reduces the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and several cancers. The University of Cambridge study showed that even in cities with high pollution levels, the benefits outweigh the risks.
The researchers used computer simulations to compare data on different kinds of physical activity and different levels of air pollution in locations around the world. It found that for an average air pollution concentration in an urban area, the tipping point — when the risks begin to outweigh the benefits — comes after a huge seven hours of cycling or 16 hours of walking a day.It is far beyond what most people would ever do."Even in Delhi, one of the most polluted cities in the world — with pollution levels 10 times those in London — people would need to cycle over five hours per week before the pollution risks outweigh the health benefits," said Dr Marko Tainio, the lead author of the study. He added, "We should remember, though, that a small minority of workers in the most polluted cities, such as bike messengers, may be exposed to levels of air pollution high enough to cancel out the health benefits of physical activity."
The study, published in Preventive Medicine, said exercise was always beneficial in London.‘Action still needed’The average air pollution level for cities around the globe is 22 micrograms per cubic metre, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). In London the air pollution level was recorded at 16 micrograms per cubic metre in 2011.Senior author Dr James Woodcock added: "Whilst this research demonstrates the benefits of physical activity in spite of air quality, it is not an argument for inaction in combating pollution. It provides further support for investment in infrastructure to get people out of their cars and onto their feet or their bikes — which can itself reduce pollution levels at the same time as supporting physical activity."

Mumbai: Experts have contended that even with normal temperature of 29-28 degrees Celsius, the city is enveloped with a thick layer of haze, attributing it to conditions that reflect smog. Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) that looks into the air quality of the country stated that smog is an indicator of increasing air pollution in the city.Gufran Beig, deputy director, IITM stated that after the strong winds of Cyclone Ockhi, Mumbai is now experiencing relatively lower wind speeds, due to which the pollutants are left suspended in the air."The hazy conditions can be attributed partly to the air pollution as the air quality of the city has been recorded as poor.
The calmer winds and increased moisture in the air is holding in the city’s pollutants, resulting in China The ePTFE air filter membrane Manufacturers smog," said Gufran Beig.Officials at Skymet Weather have maintained that with the decreasing air quality the thick haze is a smog situation and will exist for a shorter duration, given the weather conditions. "Since the temperature is moderate along with poor air quality index and there are reports of visibility being reduced to 50 metres, the haze condition is the smog surfacing in the city’s air," said Mahesh Palawat, chiefmeteorologist, Skymet Weather.
Mumbai: Mumbai saw remarkably clean air on Saturday as the Air Quality Index (AQI), an indicator of pollutants in the air, recorded 56, falling under ‘satisfactory’ category.Experts have stated that the air quality will remain the same for the next few days owing to the increase in wind speed.According to System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the air quality at all the nine locations that are monitored fell under the ‘satisfactory’ as well as ‘good’ categories."Mumbai is experiencing extremely good wind speed which is dispersing the pollutants in the air in fast manner.
As such, there is no time for the pollutants to settle on the surface," said Gufran Beig, project director, SAFAR. Among the locations, the air quality at Andheri was the cleanest, with AQI recorded 24 followed by Malad, Bhandup and Colaba, falling in ‘good’ category. BKC and Mazagaon and Navi Mumbai recorded higher levels of pollutants with AQI at 80, as compared to other locations. The increasing wind speed turned favourable for the city’s weather too. The maximum temperature recorded for Saturday was 33.4 degrees, while the minimum temperature stood at 23.8 degrees, one degree below the normal. The maximum humidity levels were recorded 76 per cent during the day.

Its official: bursting of firecrackers during Diwali has increased the pollution level in various parts of the country, with toxic fumes from fireworks raising the particulate matter content in the air to five-six times higher than the permissible limit. According to the National Air Quality Index provided by the Central Pollution Control Board in ten cities, the prominent pollutant PM 2.5 was hovering between 200 and 500 in cities like Muzaffarpur, Lucknow, Faridabad, Kanpur and Agra.According to the report, the air quality was rated as "severe" in Lucknow and Muzaffarpur and "very poor" in Agra, Kanpur, Pune, Patna and Faridabad.
Hyderabad and Chandrapur in Maharashtra recorded "poor" air quality.Unfortunately, the air quality in Delhi also plunged to "severe" level following the Diwali celebration, with pollutants rising a whopping 20 times in certain areas owing to incessant fireworks and bursting of firecrackers, notwithstanding appeals by authorities."Toxic fume from cracker worsen the killer particles in the air that have already increased by five to seven times than the safe standards. It China ePTFE air purification composite material Manufacturers also deposits deadly chemicals in our environment that will remain trapped for days," the Centre for Science and Environment said.It said, since 2010, average Diwali pollution levels have shown very rapid build-up at least seven to eight times, but peak levels have hit ten times the standard. "
This leads to very high exposure that harm health of not only those who suffer from respiratory and cardiac problems but even that of the normal healthy people," the CSE said. While "severe" air quality can affects healthy people and seriously impacts those with diseases, air rated as "very poor" can cause respiratory illness on prolonged exposure. With Delhi being the most polluted city, CSE analysis said that November 2015 so far has recorded higher pollution in the city than the same duration last year.
